About Us

Bayview Massage is a friendly, professional clinic that is minutes away from Nanaimo, and we support direct billing for RCMP, Pacific Blue Cross, Green Shield, Sunlife, Manulife and more. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Education

Joanna is a graduate from the Registered massage therapy program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria, BC.

Approach

In treatments, Joanna likes to utilize a combination of techniques such as soft tissue release, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue all while incorporating relaxation techniques.

Philosophy

Joanna enjoys treating all conditions and loves working with every individual to customize treatments to help each patient reach their maximum goals.

COVID-19 Safety

  • I will be wearing face masks in the clinic and during treatment. I have gloves should you decide that would be best, however they are not mandatory.
  • For now I will not be treating the face directly.
  • Pre-screening for symptoms of COVID-19 will be sent out prior to treatment. This will be sent to you two hours prior to treatment. Please make sure you take the 5 minutes to fill it out as the consent form is required.
  • Patients are asked to not wait in the waiting room, and ask to stay either outside or in your car until the previous patient has left and the rooms have been cleaned.
  • Please know I will have masks available, however if you have your own mask please bring and wear your face mask when entering the clinic and please use the hand sanitizer available at the reception desk prior to treatment.
  • I will do my best to keep the distancing measures of 6 feet apart with patients before and after treatments. This means no more than myself and the patient in the clinic at a time. Please enter the clinic no more than 5 minutes before your treatment time, unless you need to use the washroom.
  • All surfaces in the reception area, door handles, light switches, counter tops, and the washroom, will be sanitized regularly throughout the day.
  • I have placed tissues and sanitizers in all the rooms.
  • Hand washing before and after treatments will continue with the same standard
  • Massage tables, oil dispensers, clothing hooks, door handles, counter tops, tables, computer, will all be disinfected after every treatment.
I imagine this will be a continually evolving process and I will work to maintain the calm welcoming environment that we are all used to! Thank you all again for your patience, support and should you have any questions or concerns at all please don't hesitate.

Our Location

Bayview Massage is located in between Lantzville and Nanoose Bay. When heading north on the Island Highway, passing the line of Billboards, turn left onto Bayview Park Drive. Follow the road as it climbs up and around, and back down again. Near the bottom of the descent you will find Bayview Massage on your left hand side. If you have reached the cul-de-sac you have gone a little too far.

Cancellation Policy

When you book an appointment with Bayview Massage, that time is reserved just for you. We understand that unexpected events happen and you may need to cancel your appointment.

If you provide us with at least 24 hours notice, there is no charge for cancelling your appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will be charged 50% of the massage therapy fee. If there are no shows or subsequent late cancellations, you will be charged 100% of the massage therapy fee.

New patients are asked to fill out the online health history form at home beforehand. It will be emailed to you at the time of booking.

This cancellation policy is necessary for our small business to continue to serve our clients in need of treatment. Thank you for your understanding.
